Microsoft finally announced its own tablet to compete with the Apple iPad and other tablets on the market.The tablet is called Surface and comes in two versions: Windows 8 and Windows Pro RT

The tablets are made of magnesium (called VaporMg) are 0.1 mm thinner than the new iPhone will come with Nvidia processor (seems to be the Tegra 3 +) or Intel Core i5 Ivy Bridge. The Pro version with Windows 8 will come with DisplayPort connector, which copies a 1GB file in just 5 seconds. The VaporMg (pronounced Vapor-Mag) is a process that uses a combination of materials and molding which gives a sophisticated finish similar to a clock luxury, allows to create a thin surface (as 0.65 mm), light, very stiff, and virtually scratch proof. This is the "liquid metal" that many believe that Apple will also use in your future iPhone.

Both use the screen Corning Gorilla Glass 2.0 and its magnetic layer is also a multitouch keyboard! Microsoft ensures that your tablet has the best reception of wireless networks than any current tablet because of the dual antenna embedded in it. Furthermore, the tablet has the lateral inclination of 22 degrees. Microsoft did not disclose the screen resolution, but many believe it will be 1600x900 or 1920x1080 pixels.

A Touch Cover is a cover to the tablet which is only 3 mm and uses a new technology that allows it to be used as a keyboard. You can also use the version of the cover with 5mm and keys similar to those of traditional keyboards. Both use an accelerometer that automatically switches off the keyboard when the cover is being used only to protect the tablet.The tablet will come with the RT Windows (version 8 for Windows tablets ARM) and Office 2013 pre-installed, and they do not use fan to cool the tablet.
 

The presentation also demonstrated the use of a pen to the tablet with a resolution of 600 dpi, making it an excellent choice for image editing.Microsoft has announced that the cost of tablets will be "comparable to ARM or tablet Ultrabooks." Furthermore, the RT version of Windows will be available when Windows 8 comes out (probably in October), and Windows Version 8 Pro will be available 90 days later.

Microsoft announced a tablet itself, the Surface with Windows system 8, an event yesterday in Los Angeles, USA. It comes with a 3 mm attachable pad, and a support. It also includes a digital pen. The keyboard is built into the hood that covers the Surface, Touch Cover, which will have several color options.

The Surface display is 10.6 inches. There are two versions, one with Windows RT (a Windows version 8) and another with Windows 8 Pro.The Windows RT has a weight of 676 g and 9.3 mm thick, with options for internal space of 32 Gbytes and 64 Gbytes. The Windows 8 is Pro 903 g, 13.5 mm thick and options internal space 64 and 128 Gbytes. All options have the USB port. The Surface will come with the Microsoft Office suite. Prices have not yet been defined.
